ZQU Attends International Education Fair held in Indonesia

 Recently, directors from the International Exchange College, School of Chinese Language and Literature, School of Music and School of Fine Art attended the International Education Fair for Higher Education in Asia held in Asia International Friendship Foreign Language College (STBA-PIA), Medan, Northern Sumatra, Indonesia. During the fair, the booth of Zhaoqing University was crowded by headmasters, teachers and students coming to the fair for information, many of whom took keen interests in the program of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and specialized programs of music and fine arts at ZQU. The education fair was well received and thus made a good beginning for the international student enrolment in south-east Asia for ZQU.

STBA-PIA, founded in 2007 by the Chinese Association in Northern Sumatra, Indonesia - a Chinese patriotic group, is the sole institution of higher learning offering undergraduate programs for foreign languages in Indonesia. STBA-PIA has received enormous support from the Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs of Guangdong and institutions of higher learning of Guangdong and has significantly boosted the Chinese language education in Indonesia. Till now, ZQU has sent three teachers to teach Chinese in STBA-PIA. STBA-PIA is located in Medan, the third largest city in Indonesia where boasts the biggest Chinese population in Indonesia and a vast market for the education of the Chinese language.
