On November 30th students of Polish language from Zhaoqing University and their teachers, Dr Karolina Leśniewska and Dr Tomasz Ewertowski, held a traditional Polish celebration called “Andrzejki” (St. Andrew Day).

The activity started with the presentation about Polish festive traditions prepared by dr Karolina Leśniewska. In the Polish culture “Andrzejki” festival is associated with various customs and ceremonies. During the activity students not only learned about them, but their also took part in some traditional practises as pouring hot wax from a candle into water. Thanks to the support of the Faculty of Politics and Law during the activity students can enjoy refreshments.
