From the 15th of October to 17th of October dr Tomasz Ewertowski represented Zhaoqing University at the conference Kitchen and table in Communication. Text, Discourse and Culture. The conference took place at the University of Wrocław and was organized by the Institute of Polish Philology of the University of Wrocław and by the Polish Academy of Science. During the conference various topics connected with cultural dimension of food and culinary customs were addressed by more than one hundred specialists.

Dr Ewertowski delivered a presentation about representations of Chinese food in Polish and Serbian travel writing. The presentation was a result of research conducted by dr Ewertowski during his stay at Zhaoqing University and inspired by his work in China. During the conference other participants were also very interested in the development of teaching of Polish language in Zhaoqing nad in Southern China in general.
