The fifth International Conference “Spotkania Polonistyk Trzech Krajów: Chiny, Korea, Japonia” (Meeting of Polish Studies from the three countries: China, Korea, Japan) took place at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies from the 3rd of November to 6th , November. The conference was organized by the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Consulate General in Guangzhou and the Polish Institute in Beijing. The conference was attended by Chinese, Korean and Japanese specialists in Polish Studies from Universities in Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul, Guangzhou, Polish teachers working in East Asia as well as representatives of leading Polish universities. Zhaoqing University was represented by Dr. Karolina Leśniewska and Dr Tomasz Ewertowski. Dr Leśniewska presented a paper about teaching Polish language at Zhaoqing University and Dr Ewertoski spoke about the city of Guangzhou in Polish travel writing.
The event was an excellent platform for exchange ideas about teaching Polish, job opportunities for Polish students and gave an opportunity to create a network of contacts among supporters of Polish studies.
